About us

The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) is an intergovernmental organization with diplomatic status that aims to enable and increase the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency practices across pan-Arab countries. RCREEE is the official technical arm institution of both League of Arab State – Energy Department and Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity (AMCE).

We, the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, are the strategic partner for Arab countries in driving energy transition contributing to a better life for all our people.

Our members states are, Algeria, Bahrein, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen.

Based in Cairo, the Secretariat's role is to implement the center's strategic and annual work plans, it maintains communication and interaction with relevant agencies and public institutions in member states and coordinates joint actions with cooperation partners.

RCREEE Secretariat has several multidisciplinary teams across Sustainable Energy and Climate Action sub-sectors with multicultural teams diversified across Arab and International professionals.
